___After graduating from the Dental Faculty, University of Airlangga, Surabaya, in 1963, drg. Hendra Hidayat was appointed as dental surgeon in Praya General Hospital, Lombok. Continuing his service with the goverment, he gave lectures in stomatology at the Medical Faculty, University of Indonesia. Then he went to the University of London to specialize in oral surgery. Upon completing his post graduate program, he went back and continued giving lectures in oral surgery at the University of Indonesia and other private Dental Faculties.
___In 1976 and in 1978 he took intensive training courses of jaw correction at the kieferchirurgische Klinik in Zurich, Switzerland and at the Klinik fur Kieferchirurgie, Erlangen, Germany, respectively. In 1978 he was convocated as an Oral Surgeon by the Indonesian Dental Association.
___Since 1985, drg. Hendra Hidayat has been studying, training and practicing many kinds of dental implants with great success. With more than four decades of experience, drg. Hendra Hidayat has become a known speaker throughout Asia, especially in the area of Oral Implantology. He also performs live surgery in many cities in Indonesia and abroad.

    In 1997, he was assigned by the Institut Strauman AG, Waidenburg, Switzerland, as a representing lecturer of ITI Dental Implant System in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. He was also the President of ITI Indonesian Study Club.
___drg. Hendra Hidayat was the President of the Asian Oral Implant Academy (AOIA). He is a member of the American Academy
of Implant Dentistry (AAID), Academy of Osseointegration (AO),
and Fellow of the International Assosiation of Oral and
Maxillo-Facial Surgeons (IAOMS), International College of Dentists (ICD), a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and a member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
